Baby is my cat
She's 8 years old as of writing this, born sometime in early 2016.
She's always watching me
She's always sitting somewhere nearby, maybe in the next room staring at me from afar. If I'm in the kitchen making food, she's sitting on the table in the next room observing me. She waits, and when she realizes I'm heading back upstairs she quickly runs ahead of me. She's usually just sleeping on my couch while I sit at my computer, but occasionally she'll lay on my lap for a bit.
She learns my routines, and always knows where i am.
My general routine is to go downstairs, make food, and then go back upstairs. She always hangs out nearby and follows me around. Once i go back upstairs, she usually heads into the bathroom so i can turn on the sink for her (even though she has a fountain!!).
Sometimes I'll leave my room to use the bathroom downstairs, and she always manages to figure out where i was and just waits outside the door.
We have this funny thing where she always wants to smell the food I have. She never tries to eat it, unless its Fish, Chicken, or Ravioli (because of the meat sauce). She just wants to smell it. I don't know if she's trying to protect me or what, maybe one day she'll alert me if I'm being poisoned?
She always wants to play, and knows how to get her way
...she gets very impatient. I'm usually working on stuff on my computer or playing games, and im way too enveloped to get up and play with her. She knows exactly what gets a reaction out of me, starting by knocking down all the makeup off my vanity. I tried to pretend it didn't bother me, but then she went up on my dresser and started pushing my lamp off so I had to finally give her attention...
She also likes to sit next to my chair and paw up at my arm and poke me with her claws, because she realized it gets my attention...
For a while i had to kinda 'figure out' how she enjoys playing, and she REALLY enjoys chasing ribbons. I have a ribbon that i'll just drag around the floor in circles and she goes nuts. She also likes those sacks of catnip, I made my own with just a sock i filled and tied off. She does that little kicky thing where she has a toy in her hands while on her back and kicks it with her feet, its very funny.
She hates thunderstorms
She always notices a storm before i do, and always runs to find a place to hide. I guess my room isnt good enough for her, or maybe because it's not ground level? She doesn't really have a specific place she hides, I feel like she needs a cozy box in a corner or something.
Shes very petty!!
I swear, she gets upset at any other animal that isn't her sister Shadow. She hisses at kittens. Like, shes just a grumpy lady.
She's generally just very imprinted on me, and doesn't like when most people try to pick her up (mostly my little sister because she holds her wrong...).
If theres something bothering her, she pees on my stuff. A couple times she even peed directly on top of me while i was in bed... so nasty!!! I can't remember why, I think her litter box needed cleaned and that was how she let me know ðŸ˜
She loves me
Despite how complex and petty she is, she's always happy to see me and always waiting in the same spot when i come home from work.
